Masseria Montenapoleone provides the perfect backdrop for an elegant and timeless wedding in Puglia. Not too far from Ostuni town, it was the canvas for a breathtaking inspiration wedding envisioned by Penelope Cullen of Tigerlily Weddings. The concept blends contemporary minimalism with the authentic, unpretentious allure of a Masseria wedding, all adorned with layers of romantic ruffles and organic details.
The inspiration behind this styled shoot was the essence of “Air”—a theme embodying lightness, elegance, and effortless beauty. Every element was thoughtfully curated to reflect the romantic Apulian environment, embracing the unique spaces and iconic architecture of the Masseria. The result? A dreamy, monochromatic Puglia wedding aesthetic that exudes sophistication and harmony with nature.
According to Penelope Cullen, “The color palette is predominantly white with subtle touches of grey, silver, and garden greens, accented with delicate hints of gold. I wanted the overall atmosphere to feel soft, airy, and seamlessly blended with the surroundings. The design embraces nature while incorporating minimalist elements that mirror the style of the modern couple.”
Our bride wore a stunning Katya Katya gown that seemed to dance in the warm Sirocco Wind, which sweeps across Puglia from North Africa. The dress featured hand-embroidered Swarovski crystals at the waistline and delicate French lace ruffles, creating a flowing, ethereal silhouette. Under the southern Italian sun, the gown shimmered, set against the vivid red geraniums and sculptural cacti of the Masseria gardens—a scene that perfectly captures the beauty of a Masseria wedding in Puglia.
To bring to life a vision of understated elegance, the wedding table was adorned with soft, stone-washed Italian linens and flickering taper candles. Natural materials—ceramic vases, hand-thrown plates, and crystal glassware—formed the foundation of the tablescape, while organic linen napkins embroidered with delicate monograms by Veronica Halim added a personal, luxurious touch. A statement branch installation with porcelain birds fluttering above the table echoed the surrounding landscape, bringing an element of magic and whimsy to the setting.
The wedding cake was a vision of purity—an elegant single-tier creation adorned with soft textures, feathers, and delicate ferns, blending seamlessly with the natural floral arrangements. The calligraphy stationery suite, also designed in collaboration with Veronica Halim, featured expressive penmanship that exuded romance and refinement.
The floral design, curated by Angelica of Flower Addicted, featured a neutral-toned bouquet and floral arrangements that harmonized with the color palette of the Masseria, enhancing the timeless beauty of a wedding in Puglia.
