In 2023, I have had the privilege of teaching 25 photographers from around the world in this beautiful 3-day workshop at Villa San Giacomo, Positano.
Villa San Giacomo is an exquisite 18th-century villa perched on the cliffs of Positano, offering breathtaking views over the Amalfi Coast. This historic property seamlessly blends traditional charm with modern luxury, making it an idyllic retreat for any event.
Here’s a detailed daily recount of the enchantment we experienced during the retreat, starting at Villa San Giacomo and continuing to the magical island of Capri.
The ceremony setup by Flowers Living was absolutely enchanting, framed by the breathtaking landscape of Positano. Pastel colors created an intimate ambiance echoing the tones of Positano in the background. The reception table continued this theme effortlessly into the villa’s loggia, adorned in the same gentle shades. Sculptural, multilayered floral arrangements stretched up to the ceiling, infusing the event with a touch of grandeur.
It was a flawless fusion of natural splendor and artistic design, characteristic of all Flowers Living’s masterpieces.
A Burst of Yellow
The second day was all about yellow tones, reminiscent of Amalfi’s lemons. Every detail, from the floral arrangements to the table settings, was infused with bright yellows, creating a cohesive and cheerful aesthetic.

Day-trip to Capri
Capri is a breathtaking island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the southern edge of the Gulf of Naples in Italy. This picturesque island is renowned for its stunning landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and charming atmosphere. We decided to take the ferry and photograph in Capri for the day! The journey itself was an adventure, offering panoramic views of the azure sea and the rugged coastline. Once we arrived, we were captivated by the island’s sheer beauty, from its vibrant gardens to the historic villas, not to mention the iconic Faraglioni rock formations. Wandering through the quaint streets of Capri Town, we discovered delightful cafes, artisan shops, and open-air markets, each exuding a sense of Italian charm.
