Love makes History
Some weddings make history, and Kaye and Kyri’s extraordinary editorial wedding did just that. Their wedding was the first-ever hosted at the prestigious Raffles London within the Old War Office (The OWO), marking a new chapter in the building’s legendary past. As a luxury editorial wedding photographer, capturing this momentous occasion in such an iconic location was an unforgettable experience.
Infusing their celebration with deep-rooted Cypriot wedding traditions, Kaye and Kyri meticulously curated a haute couture-inspired wedding that seamlessly blended refined elegance with cultural heritage. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to honor their roots while embracing the grandeur of one of London’s most luxurious wedding venues.
For me, this wedding was significant on two levels: capturing the exquisite moments of Kaye and Kyri’s day as a destination wedding photographer and being the inaugural wedding photographer for a venue that holds an entirely distinct historical narrative. It was a privilege to document not only a love story but also a landmark moment in London’s luxury wedding industry.
The Old War Office in London has been at the heart of British intelligence and military strategy for decades. Once the heart of British intelligence, The Old War Office housed Winston Churchill’s war office, MI5, MI6, and Lawrence of Arabia’s workspace. From a place of secrecy and war planning, it now embraces love and elegance. Today, after meticulous restoration, it stands as a symbol of timeless luxury and sophistication, making it a dream destination for couples planning an editorial-style London wedding.

The celebration unfolded in breathtaking stages, blending high-fashion wedding photography with timeless romance. From the anticipation and elegance of bridal preparations, to the heartfelt Greek Orthodox ceremony adorned with stefana crowns, and culminating in an opulent dinner at Raffles London, where editorial wedding photography met fine art storytelling under the glow of exquisite chandeliers.
The meticulous planning and design of Perrys Wedding Co. ensured that every moment reflected the grandeur of the space and the intimacy of Kaye and Kyri’s love story. From bespoke gown designs by Josephine Scott London to luxurious floral arrangements by Enchanted Floral Design, every detail was curated to perfection.

As the photographer of the first-ever wedding here, I was privileged to capture this remarkable shift in historical narrative.
The OWO served as Winston Churchill's war office, housed MI5, and was where Laurence of Arabia worked. Formerly shrouded in secrecy, dedicated to war planning, it now witnessed the celebration of Love for the first time in its history.

Home to Legends
Raffles London is located in The OWO, formerly known as the Old War Office building. This historic site, once the residence of iconic figures like Sir Winston Churchill and Lord Haldane, also welcomed frequent visits from Ian Fleming, the mastermind behind James Bond. The building itself has played a starring role in the 007 movies, serving as the backdrop for numerous scenes. With its association with espionage and intelligence, The OWO housed operations for MI5 and MI6 during the 20th century. Situated at the heart of Whitehall, the meticulously restored building is now the exclusive location for Raffles London at The OWO.
