While the grand gestures and speeches may be what we remember most, it is often the small moments that stick with us long after the event is over.
A plan B embraced the poetry of the ancient interiors of Villa Pazzi, and the dinner moved inside the vast Ballroom gallery, surrounded by Coppedè’s famous statues, scattered with candles and drenched in moonlight. No words can express the magic of day, but somehow the pictures do.
Time unhinged from its normal framework, and space constrained to one’s home, this is a period of creative ambivalence: the concept that negative space, as expressed by lack of human connection, and deprivation of creative resources – can, and will, lead to something positive.
This incredibly lovely event was a private celebration that deserves to be recognized as a shining example of inventiveness. Over 3000 paper butterflies were made and hung from the ceiling above the eating area and under the glass tables. When an event designer goes above and beyond to create something unique, it’s referred to as “going above and beyond.” Fresh Events did just that!
There’s something to be said for incorporating something old into the mix in the fast-paced world of weddings. Using a prop or your mother’s wedding gown can add sentimental value to your special day while also connecting you with tradition and cultural history.
