Although two hours in Milan is insufficient, it is still worthwhile. On my way to Lake Como, I stopped in Milan. My travel arrangements are frequently pre-determined, with train tickets purchased in advance to ensure that I arrive on time for my next shooting. With such a limited time, I realized I needed to focus my visit on one location, and I couldn’t help but select the stately Catherdal and breakfast in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (plus some window shopping at its fabulous shops). The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is an attractive nineteenth-century retail arcade known as “il salotto di Milano” (Milan’s drawing parlor). It is home to some of Milan’s most revered fashion houses stores.
